Habitat:
Rocky areas and deep sandy bottoms in Galicia and Brittany, usually at depths of 10–80 meters.
Lifespan:
Between 8 and 12 years.
Diet:
Mollusks, algae, and organic matter from the seabed.
Fishing method:
Caught using pots or traps, which allow them to be captured alive, while respecting minimum size limits and closed fishing seasons.
Average weight:
800 g – 2 kg
